As of July 2002, Wentworth Homecare & Hospice entered into a partnership with Portsmouth/Derry/Salem Home Health & Hospice, a highly respected provider of home care and hospice services in Southern New Hampshire.

A free care program is available for families at or below 250% of the federal poverty level. The Family Resource Counselor can assist patients with applications for financial aid and applications for other state and community programs including NH Medicaid, NH Healthy Kids, Maine's Medicaid, and Maine's Cubcare programs. Is available to patients of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital's affiliated primary care physicians. The Medication Bridge Coordinator helps patients determine eligibility based on the requirements of each pharmaceutical company offering a free medication program.
The Care-Van: Phone 740-2520
Provides courtesy patient transportation to and from Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. The wheelchair accessible vans are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and appointments are necessary. Hospital staff will make appointments for van service and patients will be picked up at their home, brought to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital for treatment and returned home. All Care-Van drivers are nationally registered EMTs, who are additionally trained through the National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course. A family/friend or other caregiver is welcome to accompany the patient on the van.

Is a Wentworth-Douglass Hospital sponsored children's community project. The center supports children, teens, and families who are coping with cancer or a life-threatening illness, or grieving the death of a loved one. Located at 1 Webb Place in Dover, the center's environment is designed for the comfort of children and families and includes group discussion room and activity/play areas. Pete's Place also provides training and consultation to community schools and organizations regarding loss and coping with illness and grief.

The Dental Center will provide access to affordable dental care for the children and adult residents of the WDH primary service area. The towns included are: Barrington, Dover, Durham, Lee, Madbury, Rollinsford, Somersworth, and Berwick & South Berwick. Medicaid patients, from the service area, are welcome as are residents whose income is up to 250% of the federal poverty guideline. Co-pays will be collected based on income category. Patients who have Dental PPO's or other types of dental insurance that involve deductibles or co-pays that are not affordable, are encouraged to seek access here, as long as they meet residency and income guidelines.
