Our patients are referred to us by the two nephrology practices in the area, Coastal Nephrology and New England Nephrology. The schedule for a person undergoing treatments is MW-F or T-Thurs-Sat.

Medicare covers up to 80% of the in-center treatments. Medicare will also be billed for in-center dialysis related medications and lab work. Medicare does not pay for transportation or over the counter medication or prescriptions. All patients are encouraged to enroll in a Medigap plan to cover these costs (except transportation).

If a patient lives on a COAST bus route they may be eligible for an ADA ride. HCBC patients may be eligible for wheelchair van transportation through the state of NH Medicaid program. There are no volunteer organizations in our area to assist with transportation; therefore patients are encouraged to discuss this concern with family and friends.

We are a non-reuse facility, in contrast to other facilities that disinfect, and re-use dialyzers and lines. All patients are cared for in a team approach, meaning that there is a nurse on duty and several technicians along with the physician, social worker, and dietitian to care for those in treatment each day.

We are located a short distance between two hospitals, Wentworth-Douglass and Frisbie Memorial. However, out patients may also be treated at Portsmouth, York, and Exeter hospitals as all our doctors have privileges there as well.
